Google Plans To Build Ultra High-Speed Broadband Network

Google is planning to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations across the United States. Google will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today with 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections. With that kind of speed, you can download one DVD movie in just 10 seconds.

South Koreans will get 1 Gbps ultra-high speed broadband by the end of 2012 as the Korea Communications Commission is working on plans that will boost broadband speeds in South Korea 10 times faster than the current fiber optic LAN.
